Case study overview
TexBill
Offline-first billing software
Completed
The business need
Small retailers cannot afford for billing to stop when an internet connection drops, and many do not want their records locked behind a recurring cloud subscription.
What I built
Designed TexBill as a locally owned, Windows-based retail counter: data stays on the shop computer, billing works offline, backups are controlled by the owner, and cloud access is optional rather than required.
Built for
Independent shops and small retail chains in India—especially textile, grocery, pharmacy, electronics, jewellery, hardware, footwear, bakery, and general retail businesses.
Core capabilities
Product line
TexBill Desktop
The Windows shop counter: fully offline and licensed for one PC.
TexBill Cloud
An optional off-site backup and view-only owner dashboard add-on.
TexBill Mobile
An Android point-of-sale product for stalls, exhibitions, and delivery rounds.
Product boundaries
Desktop is Windows-only; the mobile product is Android-only.
Thermal receipt and label printing require compatible printers.
Multi-counter is designed for one shop’s local network.
It produces GST invoices and GSTR-1 data, rather than replacing full accounting software.
